English History

Our replica English Telephone Booths are styled after the iconic K6 telephone box that was originally designed in 1935 to commemorate the silver jubilee of King George V and has been a familiar site on the streets of the United Kingdom ever since. It was named the K6 because it was the 6th version of the telephone kiosk used in the UK, the K1 first being introduced in 1920. The K6 telephone boxes were made of cast iron. However, our replica phone booths ares constructed of solid wood much like the original wooden prototypes for the K6 telephone boxes prior to them going into full production in 1935 and then being mass produced from that point forward.
